<p>What will you do?</p> <ul> <li>Provide information & process requests that do not require in-depth knowledge of applicable federal/state laws, rules, policies, procedures or legal interpretations to respond to inquiries, request &/or complaints from customers </li><li>Proofread work & make all appropriate changes to ensure correspondence, reports & documents are appropriate & error-free </li><li>Provide support to update information in the Provider Certification systems as needed </li><li>Process applications via database &/or verify information in database </li><li>Process all modifications of incorrect data, ensuring accuracy of all certification data </li><li>Enter data into appropriate data base on computer (i.e., prepares new folders, inserts appropriate documents, pulls folders & charges out to appropriate staff member) </li><li>Responsible for filing, retrieving & organization of certification material for Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) & Supported Living (SL) </li><li>Work with ODM & Office of Shared Services to complete certification process </li><li>Cross-reference data on spreadsheets & other reports with documentation in file folders to ensure accuracy of electronically entered data </li><li>Initiate & respond to correspondence, answer telephone, assist customers with routine inquiries, forward application materials as requested & forward more complex calls to appropriate staff </li><li>Maintain an electronic filing system </li><li>Photocopy & scan documents & reports </li><li>Perform general clerical tasks & other duties as assigned (e.g., copies office correspondence & documents, delivers & picks up files or papers maintained at off-site buildings, coordinates material for mailings, etc.) </li></ul> <p>To request a reasonable accommodation due to disability, please contact the ADA Coordinator Renae Wallace by email at EEO-DiversityAffairs@dodd.ohio.gov or by phone at 614-752-3011.</p> <p>3 months' training or 3 months' experience in office practices & procedures AND 1 course or 3 months' experience in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people AND 1 course or 3 months' experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing AND 1 course or 3 months' experience in operation of personal computer.</p> <ul> <li>Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Note: in the telecommunications section, within the Ohio Department of Public Safety, employees will automatically be reassigned to the Customer Services Assistant 2, 64432 classification after serving 6 months as a Customer Service Assistant 1, 64431.</p> <p>Job Skills: Customer Service</p>
