<p>The Iowa Judicial Branch has an opening for a Director of Information Technology to join our team. This position is located at the Iowa Judicial Branch building in Des Moines, Iowa. </p> <p>To apply: Candidates must complete the NEOGOV application and submit a cover letter and resume in order to be considered for this position. </p> <p>The pay range for this position is $123,780.80 - $185,078.40 annually paid on a bi-weekly basis. This position is an FLSA exempt, non-contract position. </p> <p>Summary </p> <p>Direct and oversee Information Technology strategic operations and initiatives to streamline and</p> <p>advance the Iowa Judicial Branch's mission and goals.</p> <p>Examples of Duties and Responsibilities </p> <p>Direct operations through subordinate managers, supervisors, and staff. Enforce personnel</p> <p>policies and procedures. Represent management in employment relations matters.</p> <p>Assess the Iowa Judicial Branch's technology requirements and provide solutions that enhance business operations and objectives.</p> <p>Evaluate adherence to state and federal technology requirements, including security and data protection.</p> <p>Analyze proposed legislation affecting the Iowa Judicial Branch and determine the fiscal impact of proposed and approved legislation.</p> <p>Develop policies and procedures to ensure the protection of Iowa Judicial Branch information.</p> <p>Direct maintenance and upgrades of hardware and software systems.</p> <p>Develop and implement Iowa Judicial Branch technology updates and training for employees.</p> <p>Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.</p> <p>Identify and address problematic areas proactively and implement strategic solutions.</p> <p>Stay abreast of emerging technologies that can improve Information Technology performance and Iowa Judicial Branch operations. Ensure staff obtain and maintain training or certifications for evolving technologies.</p> <p>Develop annual information systems budget and efficiently manage resources and risk. Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </p> <p>Knowledge of technical management, information analysis, computer hardware/software</p> <p>systems, data center management, and data governance.</p> <p>Knowledge of data management and administration.</p> <p>Presentation and communication skills.</p> <p>Attention to detail.</p> <p>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</p> <p>Ability to secure confidential information.</p> <p>This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.</p> <p>Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. </p> <p>The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. </li><li>Ten (10) years of progressive experience in computer science, management information systems, information technology, or related experience. </li><li>Four (4) years of experience as a leader of a multi-level organization, or a deputy role, with strategic decision-making experience. </li></ul> <p>Industry-recognized professional certification in information technology is preferred.</p> <p>Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.</p>
