<ul> <li>Applicants who apply through third-party sites (Indeed, Monster, etc.) will receive an email from ApplicantPro to complete their application.* </li></ul> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Grants Specialist position supports the grant manager with prospecting funding opportunities, grant writing and reporting processes for assigned grants.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Communicates regularly with staff to develop and maintain a strong understanding of programs, services, reach, impact and funding priorities. </li><li>Conducts research on funding opportunities for assigned locations and program areas, assessing alignment with the agency's strategic direction and program priorities. Communicates funding opportunities with grant manager. </li><li>Demonstrates a high level of understanding of the agency's strategic direction and corresponding program priorities. </li><li>Supports grant manager in timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks related to submission of applications/proposals, including: detailed editing, formatting, assembly of proposal packages, collecting attachments/addenda, obtaining signatures, and mailing or electronic submission. </li><li>Ensures timely completion of reporting, and informs appropriate staff of upcoming deadlines with advanced notice. </li><li>Maintains grant files in a current and organized fashion. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to work effectively in both virtual and in person environments </li><li>Strong grant writing ability and report writing skills </li><li>Must be detail-oriented, with good organizational skills </li><li>Must be self-motivated, with high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Experience working with Salesforce preferred </li><li>Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel </li><li>Comfortable working with various online systems </li><li>Possesses a valid Colorado driver's license; has a reliable and consistently available vehicle; and must carry automobile liability insurance at the level of 100,000/300,000/100,000 </li><li>Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Values and Vision of Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in social sciences and 2 or more years' experience in grants management, evaluation and/or program development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.</p>
