<p>Position Details</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Title Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy, Knoxville Department OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Position Category Faculty Job Description</p> <p>The Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Lincoln Memorial University-Knoxville invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position primarily focused on teaching cadaver-based human anatomy, neuroscience, kinesiology, and epidemiology and pathology to students in LMU's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with faculty to integrate anatomical knowledge into clinical skills and evidence-based practice, ensuring alignment with the program's learning objectives. This role includes fostering a dynamic, student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking, inquiry, and the practical application of anatomical principles in occupational therapy.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates must have an earned doctorate from an institution recognized regionally and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (ABD may be considered).</p> <ul> <li>The academic and experiential qualifications and backgrounds (identified in documented descriptions of roles and responsibilities) that are necessary to meet program objectives and the mission of the institution. <em>Documented current expertise in their assigned area(s) of teaching responsibility and student advisement. </em>Effectiveness in teaching and evaluation of student learning. *Faculty must maintain ongoing scholarly achievement and research expertise. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education. Academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
