<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Cinnaminson Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill a temporary leave replacement position for a 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to engage with social studies concepts. This position requires effective communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners. The position will need to be filled for the period of August 31, 2026 through December 23, 2026.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards for social studies. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and student abilities. </li><li>Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing timely feedback. </li><li>Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and collaboration. </li><li>Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. </li><li>Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and enhance the overall educational experience. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and social studies pedagogy. </li><li>Maintain classroom management and uphold school policies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the school administration. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Education, Social Studies, or a related field </li><li>Valid NJ teaching certification in Social Studies or Elementary Education (K-6) </li><li>Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of social studies content, including history, geography, and civics. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with students and parents effectively. </li><li>Proficient in using technology and digital resources to enhance instruction. </li><li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment. </li><li>Availability for the entire duration of the leave replacement assignment. </li></ul>
