The successful candidate will have a strong background in academic advising, postsecondary planning, and social-emotional support for adolescents.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide academic and social-emotional counseling for students in grades 7-12</p> </li><li> <p>Support course selection, scheduling, and graduation planning</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate college and career readiness activities (FAFSA, Naviance, college fairs, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Write counselor recommendations and assist with college application processes</p> </li><li> <p>Support standardized testing (PSAT, SAT, AP, and state assessments)</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the RTI process and collaborate with the CST as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with staff and administration to support student growth and achievement</p> </li><li> <p>Compensation for additional summer work per the PEA contract.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid NJ School Counselor Certification (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of high school graduation requirements and college admissions processes</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Naviance or similar college/career readiness platforms preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Questions?</p> <p>Contact Dan Licata, Principal, at dlicata@palmyra.k12.nj.us</p>
