As the first AAHA-accredited hospital in Tangipahoa and Livingston Parishes and a Feline-Friendly Certified practice, we are committed to gold-standard medicine, teamwork, and exceptional client experiences.</p> <p>We proudly serve pets and families across Tangipahoa Parish, Livingston Parish, Loranger, Montpelier, and Amite City-treating every patient like family.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in improving and saving pets' lives every day by:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures </li><li>Placing IV catheters and performing blood draws and IV, IM, and SQ injections </li><li>Monitoring anesthesia and utilizing diagnostic and monitoring equipment </li><li>Supporting patient flow through admissions, treatments, and discharges </li><li>Educating clients on individualized pet care, medications, and treatment plans </li><li>Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records </li><li>Practicing safe restraint techniques and maintaining clean, organized treatment areas </li><li>Mentoring and supporting fellow team members </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Required Experience & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician or assistant experience </li><li>Proficiency with IV catheter placement, bloodwork, and injections </li><li>Experience monitoring anesthesia </li><li>Strong teamwork and communication skills </li><li>A passion for empathetic, high-quality veterinary medicine </li></ul> <p>You'll Thrive Here If You Are</p> <ul> <li>Positive, kind, and dependable </li><li>Motivated to grow professionally </li><li>Committed to collaboration and patient advocacy </li></ul> <p>You'll Grow with Us</p> <p>Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
