Please log into Workday and use the Career Tile to find and apply to jobs from our internal career sites.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The University of the Cumberlands is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Administrative Assistant/Office Manager to support the Information Technology (IT) department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the IT office by managing day-to-day administrative functions, supporting departmental projects, and serving as a key point of contact for both internal and external communications.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative support to the Chief Information Officer and IT staff. </li><li>Manage office communications, including emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries. </li><li>Organize meetings, take minutes, and maintain calendars and schedules. </li><li>Maintain office supplies, equipment inventory, and procurement requests. </li><li>Assist with budget tracking and processing invoices and expense reports. </li><li>Coordinate onboarding logistics for new IT staff. </li><li>Maintain department records, documentation, and filing systems (digital and physical). </li><li>Foster a professional, welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff seeking IT services. </li><li>Uphold confidentiality and university policies in all communications and documentation. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of administrative or office management experience, preferably in a higher education or IT environment. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and common office systems. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work independently. </li><li>Professional demeanor with a customer-service orientation. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Office Administration, Business, or a related field preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with IT terminology and office procedures. </li></ul> <p>Cumberlands is different by design.
