<p>Ob-Gyn Physician</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Cooperative Health is seeking mission-minded, compassionate Ob-Gyn physicians to join its dedicated medical staff. The ideal candidate will provide hospital and ambulatory or ambulatory based obstetrical and gynecologic primary, preventive, and episodic care. The physician is a part of a dynamic care team that works in a holistic manner addressing each patient's physical, emotional, social, and mental health needs to promote well-being and deliver extraordinary outcomes.</p> <p>Positions are available on both full-time and part-time bases at a well-established urban practice. Cooperative Health's Ob-Gyn physician's work within an office based care team setting. Integrated in-office Behavioral Health and Social Service support is available</p> <p>In the spirit of the Good Samaritan, Cooperative Health serves as a safety net provider, delivering care with dignity and compassion to patients from all walks of life. We are returning the HEART to medicine - Bringing Humanity Back to Healthcare - by empowering Ob-Gyn physicians to serve as true partners in the well-being of their patients.</p> <p>Essential job functions</p> <ul> <li>See patients; document the visit; complete a superbill commensurate to the care provided </li><li>Assist patients in the completion of paperwork related to their clinical and patient care </li><li>Perform office-based procedures </li><li>When applicable, perform hospital based surgeries, procedures, and clinical care </li><li>Be knowledgeable of and engage patients on population health clinical quality measures </li><li>Engage, educate, and empower patients to take control of their personal health </li><li>Coordinate care of the patient with members of the clinical team </li><li>Responds to patient messages from support staff and other members of the office team </li><li>Periodically serves as a preceptor for professional clinical students </li><li>Attends Cooperative Health meetings and participate in all trainings </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from a (4) year, accredited medical school and received an M.D. degree </li><li>Completion of four (4) years of post-graduate medical residency training in Ob-Gyn </li><li>Must have an active (or plan to have an active) South Carolina license that is in good standing </li><li>Must have (or plan to have) a current DEA and South Carolina controlled substance registration </li><li>Current BLS certification (if ACLS certified, the BLS certification is waved) </li></ul> <p>Working Hours</p> <ul> <li>Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m </li><li>Periodic early evening hours </li><li>Weeknight telephone call </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to embody the mission and vision of Cooperative Health </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills </li><li>Ability to communicate with people from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds </li><li>Ability to prioritize, organize and carry out work assignments independently and efficiently </li><li>Ability to maintain appropriate degree of confidentiality </li><li>Compassionate and personable with an exemplary bedside manner </li><li>Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities </li><li>Proficient in use of electronic medical records - Athena - company EMR </li><li>Excellent keyboarding ability </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods sitting or standing </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat for extended periods of time throughout the day. </li><li>Standing or walking for extended periods throughout the day. </li></ul> <p>Company Conformance Statement</p> <p>In the performance of respective job assignments, all employees are required to conform with Cooperative Health's:</p> <ul> <li>Board approved policies and procedures; </li><li>Confidentiality and professional provisions; </li><li>Compliance program; and </li><li>Standards of conduct. </li></ul> <p>Cooperative Health provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
