<p>Job Details</p> <p>Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Full-Time | First Shift</p> <p>Responsibilities & Requirements</p> <p>RN First Assist (RNFA) job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assists physicians in surgery and may perform specific significant surgical tasks under professional supervision. </li><li>Surgical tasks include, but are not limited to, opening and closing surgical sites, exposure of the surgical site, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues. </li><li>Under professional supervision, the RNFA performs task which include, but are not limited to, applying and removing splints and/or casts, placing Foley catheters, placing IV's, placing arterial lines, administering local anesthesia, and other such procedures as requested and necessary. </li></ul> <p>Applicants Must Have:</p> <ul> <li>Current RN license in State of Ohio </li><li>Minimum of 24 months RN experience in an OR required. </li><li>Successful completion of approved RNFA course </li><li>Current BLS certification </li><li>ACLS, NRP, and PALS as determined by unit scope of practice </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Achievement of CNOR certification, CRNA preferred</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 13 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
