Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Supervisor Admitting Services is responsible for the day to day operation of the Admitting Services department. Develops and promotes a positive approach to all activities relating to data collection, bed management, reception, insurance verification, financial counseling, customer service. Ensures that the work produced is accurate and complete in all areas of responsibility.</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum $64,355 Midpoint $85,259 Maximum $106,184</p> <p>Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience in admissions or hospital business office. </li><li>Preferred: One (1) or more years of progressive management experience in admissions or hospital business office which includes eligibility and verification of insurance, authorization of insurance, reception and some bed management experience. Registration experience coupled with Business Office experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business. </li></ul> <p>Training</p> <ul> <li>Required: None required. </li></ul> <p>Specialized Skills</p> <ul> <li>Required: Typing minimum 40 WPM. Knowledge of and ability to use of multiline phones, copier, fax, PC use including mouse, keyboard, ten key. Ability to use several different applications simultaneously. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environments - Functional Demand:</p> <p>Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie.
