<p>Department</p> <p>Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee</p> <p>The Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee (CLC) is the K-12 outreach facility for the Florida A&M University - Florida State University College of Engineering. Our mission is to provide students and their families with high-quality educational experiences through the use of our IMAX Theater, Planetarium, Space Mission Simulator, and demonstrational activities.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Field trips</p> <ul> <li>Respond to requests submitted through CLC website and serve as secondary point of contact for email/phone inquiries </li><li>Recommend programming based on group needs and create schedule drafts </li><li>Reconfirm upcoming visits, obtaining group order forms and show selections when applicable </li><li>Send survey requests once programming has been completed </li></ul> <p>Facility Rentals</p> <ul> <li>Respond to requests submitted through CLC website and serve as secondary point of contact for email/phone inquiries </li><li>Recommend space(s) appropriate for client's event scope and providing facility tours, upon request </li><li>Work alongside Event Manager to create event layouts, detail sheets and/or timelines </li><li>Reconfirm upcoming visits and sending survey requests to facility users once rental period has completed </li><li>Serve as secondary personnel for contact for day-of event coordination, assisting with setup and tear-down as needed </li><li>Prepare documentation and work sign-in/-out for Camp Challenger and Homeschool Days programs </li><li>Other duties as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience coordinating field trips, programs, or visitor services. </li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills (email/phone). </li><li>Experience recommending programs/spaces and creating basic schedules or layouts. </li><li>Familiarity with event or facility rental coordination and day-of support. </li><li>Strong organization and ability to manage multiple groups at once. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Teams or similar tools. </li></ul> <p>University Information</p> <p>One of the nation's elite research universities, Florida State University preserves, expands, and disseminates knowledge in the sciences, technology, arts, humanities, and professions, while embracing a philosophy of learning strongly rooted in the traditions of the liberal arts and critical thinking.
