<p>Primary Care Nurse Practitioner</p> <p>Location: Chesapeake, Virginia</p> <p>Practice: Chesapeake Internists Limited</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Chesapeake Internists Limited, a well-established internal medicine practice in Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) to join our team. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing comprehensive primary care services to adult patients aged 18 and older.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult patients. </li><li>Manage common acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory illnesses. </li><li>Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings. </li><li>Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. </li><li>Conduct women's health screenings, including Pap smears and pelvic exams. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. </li><li>Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate and timely documentation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) </li><li>Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in a primary care setting. </li><li>Licensure: Active Virginia license or eligibility to obtain. </li><li>Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience. </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance. </li><li>Retirement plan options. </li><li>Generous paid time off (PTO). </li><li>Malpractice insurance coverage. </li><li>Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance. </li></ul> <p>Our practice is a proud member of Privia Medical Group, a national physician organization with more than 4,800 providers in multiple states.
