<p>Summary</p> <p>Reports to the Materials Manager. Performs various storeroom duties including shipping, receiving and staging materials and equipment. Provides exceptional customer service when making in house deliveries. Be on their team. </li></ul> <p>Performs receiving duties in an accurate and timely manner by:</p> <ul> <li>Physical receiving, inspecting and staging of incoming delivery trucks for Hospital materials and equipment. </li><li>Signing off on proof of delivery (POD) paperwork indicating Memorial's legal possession of deliveries. </li><li>Verifying all packing lists. </li><li>Documenting receipt of materials and equipment in computer system. </li><li>Ensuring all receiving paperwork and materials are properly staged for delivery. </li><li>Verifying that all paperwork has proper internal POD signatures. </li><li>Ensuring that all paperwork has been properly filed. </li><li>Ensuring that all discrepancies are completed and communicated. </li><li>Processing timely and accurate shipping of materials. </li><li>Operating TUG robot delivery. </li><li>Channeling problems and /or complaints to the appropriate person for resolution. </li><li>Reporting to Lead Coordinator when assignments cannot be completed. </li><li>Providing input and assistance with the implementation of quality improvements. </li><li>Maintaining and presenting a positive customer service image at all times. </li><li>Resolving problems. </li></ul> <p>Maintains medical gases storage room by:</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring that all medical gas tanks and storage room are properly secured at all times. </li><li>Executing the proper disconnect and reconnect of all medical gas tank banks. </li><li>Ordering of new tanks when appropriate. </li><li>Ensuring that all equipment is in the proper place. </li><li>Reporting any and all problems associated with medical gas tanks. </li></ul> <p>Maintains storeroom, work area and equipment by:</p> <ul> <li>Periodic filing of all receiving documentation as mandated by law. </li><li>Cleaning work area and other areas per established schedule and as assigned. </li><li>Performing preventive maintenance schedules in the work area and on equipment per established schedule and as required. </li></ul> <p>Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:</p> <ul> <li>Completing other job-related duties and projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. </li><li>Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes. </li><li>Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. </li><li>Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year. </li><li>Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department. </li><li>Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. </li><li>Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance. </li><li>Complies with established organization and department policies. </li><li>Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required. </li></ul> <p>Commitment to Beacon's six-point Operating System, referred to as The Beacon Way:</p> <ul> <li>Leverage innovation everywhere. </li><li>Cultivate human talent. </li><li>Embrace performance improvement. </li><li>Build greatness through accountability. </li><li>Use information to improve and advance. </li><li>Communicate clearly and continuously. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. A minimum three to six months of experience in a stockroom or receiving position is preferred. Some knowledge of electronic inventory systems and control is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates analytical ability necessary to comprehend purchase orders, invoices, and other shipping and receiving documents and perform basic arithmetical calculations. </li><li>Requires ability to use heavy machinery such as forklifts, and manual and electric power pallet jacks and other moving equipment. </li><li>Demonstrates basic computer skills necessary to effectively and efficiently utilize the Hospital's receiving system. </li><li>Demonstrates the communication and interpersonal skills necessary to consistently interact with team members in a courteous manner and to maintain positive working relationships. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Works in storeroom and dock environment with possible exposure to noise, dust, vehicle fumes, detergents and hot and cold temperatures. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Requires physical ability and stamina (including the ability to walk, stand, lift, carry up to 50 pounds, push, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach over and under waist level for extended periods of time on cement or other hard surfaces, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position. </li></ul>
