<p>Brooklyn Community Board #3 represents the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant. The Community Board</p> <p>office assists residents with municipal service delivery requests, community concerns and issues. We are</p> <p>looking to hire a Full-Time Community Associate, to report for in-office work, available during business</p> <p>hours Monday - Friday - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for five days a week for various assignments at the</p> <p>Community Board #3 Office. Requiring some night meetings. Must be able to attend monthly General Board</p> <p>Meetings and other Meetings and Events as assigned by the District Manager.</p> <p>Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Fielding phone calls and emails from city agencies, elected officials' offices, and the public </li><li>Assisting with the preparation for general board and committee meetings </li><li>Working on projects that advance district service and quality of life goals, providing status reports </li><li>Constituent Services, responding and resolving constituent service requests </li><li>Manage website update, social media accounts, and board newsletter. </li><li>General office administrative tasks, but not limited to filing, scheduling, general correspondence, </li></ul> <p>drafting letters and promotional materials, and posting public notices.</p> <p>COMMUNITY ASSOCIATE - 56057</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Qualification Requirements</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or</p> </li><li> <p>Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ol> <li>Excellent Writing skills 2. Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 3. Strong Administrative and Organizational Skills 4. Excellent computer/social media and web posting skills 5.
