<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Test Lead in Armonk, NY.</p> <p>Summary: We are seeking a QA/Test Lead to support tactical grid modernization initiatives with a focus on Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS). This role will lead the end-to-end quality assurance strategy, ensuring DERMS and related solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business and operational requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Define QA strategy, test plans, and coverage for DERMS and related systems </li><li>Lead execution of functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing </li><li>Validate integration between DERMS, SCADA, ADMS, EMS, and customer platforms </li><li>Manage the defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking </li><li>Partner with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and traceability </li><li>Lead onshore/offshore QA teams and mentor junior testers </li><li>Champion test automation, CI/CD, and Agile QA practices to accelerate delivery </li><li>Ensure compliance with utility industry standards, regulations, and best practices* 7+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in a lead role </li><li>Strong utilities/energy industry background, especially distributed energy resources </li><li>Proficiency with QA tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Selenium) and both manual/automated testing </li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills </li><li>Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>QA certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) </li><li>Hands-on experience with DERMS, SCADA, ADMS, EMS, or similar systems highly preferred </li><li>Consulting background in energy or utilities </li><li>Experience with performance or cybersecurity testing </li></ul>
