The Fire Relief Coordinator will work to oversee the intake, organization, and distribution of donations, as well as manage volunteers and collaborate with community partners. This is an opportunity to directly impact lives through compassionate service, efficient logistics, and collaborative leadership in a time of great need.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>AGE: Eighteen years or older </li><li>EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>RELATED EXPERIENCE: Experience working with similar programs </li><li>SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Strong character values, communication skills, emotional maturity, and problem-solving mindset </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>One or more years' experience in program implementation </li><li>One or more years in project coordination or volunteer coordination </li><li>Proven ability to manage logistics and multi-site coordination during emergency response efforts. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a trauma-informed approach. </li><li>Experience in leading volunteer teams and working with diverse community groups. </li><li>Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced, evolving environment. </li><li>High level of organizational and record-keeping abilities. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate daily relief operations at YMCA Community Fire Relief locations supporting those impacted by the fires </li><li>Receive, sort, organize, and distribute in-kind donations (clothing, food, hygiene supplies, etc.) </li><li>Maintain donation inventory systems and procedures. </li><li>Recruit, train, and manage volunteers assisting with fire relief efforts. </li><li>Work collaboratively with center directors, staff leaders, and community partners to meet immediate needs of affected families. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for fire relief efforts at designated YMCA centers. </li><li>Ensure safety, dignity, and confidentiality in service delivery to impacted individuals. </li><li>Track and report key data related to donations, distributions, and volunteer participation. </li><li>Support internal communication and awareness around fire relief programs and initiatives. </li><li>Help implement YMCA communications and outreach efforts regarding fire relief services. </li></ul> <p>Your Superpowers:</p> <ul> <li>A friendly, approachable demeanor that makes people feel instantly at home. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills to keep our processes running smoothly. </li><li>The ability to create excitement and engagement around our programs and events. </li><li>Current Adult & Pediatric First Aid/AED/CPR Certification from ASHI, American Red Cross or American Heart Association or willingness to obtain the certification. </li><li>This position requires the final candidate to successfully pass an E-Verify check.
