Forklift Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, as well as maintaining inventory levels to prevent stock outs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare shipments to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring items are properly secured for transport. </li><li>Communicate inventory levels to the Warehouse Supervisor or immediate supervisor to prevent stock outs. </li><li>Distribute book reorders to branch picking aisles as needed. </li><li>Provide backup support for shipping/receiving, including loading and unloading containers. </li><li>Return all merchandise to its proper location promptly, ensuring items are handled with care to avoid damage. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. </li><li>Assist other Associates in completing tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor. </li><li>Have a strong understanding of cycle counting and inventory control procedures. </li><li>Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the schedule. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures. </li><li>Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely. </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. </li><li>Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed. </li></ul> <p>This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing company.
