This role is responsible for driving complex operational, technology, and transformation programs from concept through execution, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, clear governance, and measurable business outcomes. The Director will act as a key partner to senior leadership, bringing structure, visibility, and accountability to critical initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability, and customer experience improvements.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Partner with demand forecasting to align operational plans with projected volume, ensuring accurate translation of forecasts into actionable execution strategies </li><li>Lead operational planning processes, including short- and long-term planning cycles, to ensure efficient and scalable execution </li><li>Optimize resources to increase productivity and reduce operational costs, leveraging data and performance insights to drive efficiency improvements </li><li>Develop capacity planning models across fulfillment and delivery operations to ensure the business can meet demand while maintaining service levels </li><li>Partner with operations leaders to align labor planning and productivity targets, ensuring staffing levels support volume while driving performance outcomes </li><li>Improve forecasting accuracy and planning tools using data analytics, identifying trends and implementing enhancements to planning methodologies </li><li>Support peak planning and seasonal demand shifts by developing scalable strategies, contingency plans, and cross-functional coordination </li><li>Lead a team responsible for operational planning, setting priorities and developing talent </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>8-10+ years of experience in project management, consulting, or operational leadership roles </li><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required, or equivalent experience </li><li>Proven track record of successfully leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives </li><li>Strong expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery within fast-paced environments </li><li>Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills </li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify problems, and drive solutions </li><li>Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities </li><li>Experience building and implementing project management frameworks and best practices </li><li>Ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple teams and senior stakeholders </li><li>Experience in e-commerce, grocery, logistics, or supply chain environments preferred </li></ul> <p>Our Values at FreshDirect</p> <p>We live these values every day:</p> <p>A Passion for our customers</p> <p>Our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
