Overview: Under direct supervision, assists with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of, and reporting from, OCTA's access control, video management, and some intercom and security alarm systems. This is a non-exempt position in Salary Grade 185: Min $37.65 - Mid $45.17 - Max $52.70 hourly. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications. The position will remain open until filled. Has Technical and Professional Expertise: Has the technical skills, product knowledge and professional skills to do the job. Under direct supervision, performs tasks at multiple local offices and field locations. Provides technical support for the access control, video management and intercom. Runs Access Control and Video Management System-related. Reviews, updates, and maintains access control records. Coordinates helpdesk ticketing activities. Assists in maintaining reports, logs, and other documentation of activities and issues as required. Communicates clearly and effectively in business, non-technical and training. Establishes and maintains effective working. Attends assigned meetings and conferences and completes all required and recommended training. Develops Strategic Perspective: Knows how immediate work relates to organizational strategy, translates into actionable steps. Assists in developing systems procedures for users and maintaining system. Assists in training staff on the various security. Drives for Results: Operates with speed and intensity, translates long-term goals into immediate actions. Assists in coordinating service calls and system maintenance with vendors. Assists in conducting inspections of security systems at OCTA facilities. Solves Problems & Analyzes Issues: Has and applies problem analysis and problem-solving skills on a technical and interpersonal level. Assists with analyzing, troubleshooting, and coordinating all aspects of the security systems used to administer and manage access to facilities, including ID badges and badge readers. Assists with analyzing, troubleshooting, and coordinating access to the panic alarms, intrusion alarms, and closed-circuit television systems using analog and digital technology. Administers a high degree of organization, flexibility, and adaptability to changing work and environmental conditions. Qualifications A bachelor's degree or any combination of education or experience or an associate degree with a minimum of 2 years professional experience in a business environment. Preferably in the physical security and access control/video management space. Special Qualifications: A valid California Driver License; Safe driving record. Work may require periodic on-call status.
