<p>Guidewire Business Analyst</p> <p>HDI Global Insurance Company is a commercial property and casualty insurer headquartered in Chicago, IL. Our broad and flexible portfolio of products and services combined with our international network of local insurers in more than 150 countries, provide us the ability to offer a wide range of domestic and global insurance solutions for U.S. based multinational companies.</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Guidewire expertise to support our insurance platform transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, strong knowledge of system integrations and data flows, and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable integration solutions. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define integration requirements, analyze data and system flows, and ensure Guidewire integrations align with overall business objectives and enterprise architecture. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of insurance processes and the ability to support end-to-end integration design, testing, and implementation.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and document integration requirements, system interactions, data flows, and interface specifications for Guidewire PolicyCenter and connected systems. </li><li>Solution Design: Collaborate with architects and developers to support the design of APIs, services, and system integrations aligned with enterprise architecture and minimal customization. </li><li>Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as liaison between business teams, IT architectures, and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. </li><li>Testing & Validation: Support integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenario development, validation, and issue resolution. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing support post-implementation by monitoring integrations and identifying opportunities for optimization. Identify and recommend enhancements to integration processes, system interactions, and data quality. </li><li>Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including interface specifications, API documentation, data mappings, process flows, and functional requirements. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Integrations/Systems Analyst working with Guidewire PolicyCenter. </li><li>Experience supporting system integrations between enterprise applications. </li><li>Strong understanding of the policy administration process (underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations). </li><li>Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience analyzing and documenting system integrations, APIs, and data interfaces. </li><li>Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. </li><li>Strong experience with business process mapping, data analysis, and system documentation. </li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) preferred. </li><li>Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance processes and workflows (e.g., underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims management). </li><li>Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), JIRA, Confluence, and other business analysis or project management tools. </li><li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. </li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Guidewire Certified Professional (PolicyCenter). </li><li>Knowledge of cloud-based Guidewire implementations (Guidewire Cloud). </li><li>Experience with Agile frameworks, particularly in an insurance industry setting. </li><li>Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and XML/JSON </li><li>Familiarity with SQL or other querying tools to analyze data. </li><li>Ability to read and understand technical documents, including XML and web services. </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$95,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus.
