<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Senior FP&A Consultant is a key strategic partner responsible for delivering advanced financial planning and analysis in alignment with the organization's goals. Reporting to the Director of Financial Analytics and Planning, this role plays a pivotal part in strengthening the FP&A function by leading financial analyses, supporting forecasting and reporting processes, and providing actionable insights to leadership. The Senior FP&A Consultant focuses on performance improvement, capital and operations, planning, and strategic support for major clinical service lines.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Works with the Director of Financial Analytics and Planning to enhance FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies that support strategic planning. </li><li>Supports the development and refinement of forecasting and planning models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives. </li><li>Assists in the maintenance of long-range financial forecasts, including revenue, debt, and depreciation schedules. </li><li>Supports executive-level financial presentations and reporting packages for senior leadership and the Board Finance Committee. </li><li>Assists in the design and maintenance of dashboards and analytical tools that monitor financial and operational performance across the health system. </li><li>Analyze historical and projected trends to identify key business drivers and assumptions. </li></ul> <p>Operating Budget Support</p> <ul> <li>Support the system-wide annual operating budget process through advanced analytics and consultative guidance. </li></ul> <p>Reporting and Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership with reconciliations, financial reports, and ad hoc analyses. </li><li>Contribute to special initiatives and projects that advance organizational goals. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Influence</p> <ul> <li>Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused approach with finance, clinical, and operational leaders. </li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. </li><li>Share expertise in financial planning systems and promote process improvement across FP&A functions. </li><li>Provide mentorship and subject-matter guidance to junior team members as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, including financial analysis, decision support, revenue cycle, or reimbursement. </li><li>Strong understanding of not-for-profit accounting standards and healthcare financial practices. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. </li></ul> <p>Required Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strategic and critical thinking with strong analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to anticipate and evaluate the long-term impact of financial decisions. </li><li>Skilled in process improvement, systems optimization, and driving efficiency. </li><li>Results-driven, with the ability to independently manage complex initiatives. </li><li>Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Pay Range:</p> <p>$100,027.20-$165,048.00</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Brown University Health is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and maintaining a work environment free from all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Corporate Headquarters - 15 LaSalle Square Providence, Rhode Island 02903</p> <p>Work Type:</p> <p>8-5</p> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>Day</p> <p>Daily Hours:</p> <p>8 hours</p> <p>Driving Required:</p> <p>No</p>
