We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate Summer Camp Counselors who love working with children and thrive in the great outdoors. As a counselor, you'll inspire campers (ages 6-14) through exciting excursions, memorable hikes, and enriching activities amidst the stunning backdrop of the Brighton mountains and lakes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the safety and well-being of children ages 6-14. </li><li>Foster a fun and engaging atmosphere for all campers. </li><li>Provide guidance, support, and motivation to inspire campers. </li><li>Organize and facilitate a variety of games, activities, and excursions. </li><li>Welcome and engage with campers and parents during drop-off and pickup. </li><li>Collaborate with staff to maintain a clean and organized environment. </li><li>Uphold all safety protocols and procedures diligently. </li><li>Have reliable transportation to and from work. </li><li>Ensure all team members maintain a professional appearance, wear the approved Brighton uniform and name tag. </li><li>Maybe be required to do UTA van driver training and drive the van of campers depending on hiring interview. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Enthusiasm Required: A fun-loving attitude and a genuine passion for working with children. </li><li>Experience: Significant experience working with kids aged 6-14; teaching experience or a background in childhood development is preferred. </li><li>Physical Fitness: Capable of leading hikes and activities at elevations of 9000+ feet over challenging mountainous terrain. </li><li>Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with campers and co-counselors. </li><li>Emotional Intelligence: High level of empathy and emotional awareness to support camper relationships. </li><li>Reliability: Demonstrated dependability with flexible scheduling. </li><li>Commitment: Available to work Monday through Friday from June 20 to August 8. </li><li>Motivation Skills: Ability to inspire and engage children through dynamic activities. </li><li>Submit background check </li></ul> <p>Perks:</p> <ul> <li>Enjoy the satisfaction of a rewarding job that brings joy, educational experiences, and fun to kids. </li><li>Work outdoors in the beautiful forests, mountains, and lakes of the Brighton Resort at an elevation of 9000+ feet. </li><li>Opportunity to express creativity while helping Camp Brighton evolve through games, science experiments, and activities. </li><li>Discounted food at the Brighton Store during summer employment. </li><li>Complimentary 2025/2026 Brighton Season Pass. </li><li>Be part of the exciting evolution of our summer operations at Brighton over the coming years. </li><li>Competitive compensation of $17-19 per hour. </li></ul> <p>If you're ready to make a difference this summer and create unforgettable memories for children in the great outdoors, we want to hear from you!
