<p>Berlin-Boylston Regional School Job Description</p> <p>This position provides expertise in behavior reduction and skill acquisition programming to public school students PK-12th grade. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families and staff to develop and implement programming to ensure student progress. Strong interpersonal, organization and attention to detail skills are required. Knowledge of the special education process is strongly preferred.</p> <p>We are a small school district with three school buildings. The successful candidate will be assigned to regularly work in two of the three buildings.</p> <p>TITLE: BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis Master's degree in related field</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: DESE Licensure in Special Education</p> <p>POSITION GOAL: To provide consultation, evaluation and behavior programs for children with behavioral needs</p> <p>REPORTS TO:Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Building Principal</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Evaluate students to determine individual student needs. Develop programs for implementation by programs and staff. Coordinate assessment and IEP in collaboration with special education teachers and related service providers Develop individualized skill acquisition programs targeting ADLs (e.g., toileting, hygiene, dressing, eating) in consultation with special education teachers and related service providers Write goals , objectives and progress reports for IEP. Trains, observes, and consults with paraprofessionals Oversee and co-supervise paraprofessionals (with special education liaison and principal.) Develop and collect data from technicians and chart student progress. Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments. Attend Team meetings. Meet with parents to review data reports. Conduct parent consults and/or trainings. Develop, deliver and oversee parent home training or programming as needed. Provide consultation and/or professional development for faculty as needed. Function as part of a teaching team. Responsible for continued professional growth. Serve as Restraint Prevention (such as Safety Care, CPI,) trainer Perform other school related duties at the discretion of the Director of Pupil Personnel Services and School Principal.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Regular school year and 10 additional days, mostly for district based summer program </li></ul> <p>EVALUATION:</p> <p>Evaluation of this position will be shared by the building Principals and Director of Pupil Personnel Services and take place annually in accordance with the School Committee Policy on evaluation of a teacher.</p>
