<p>2nd Shift Tuesday - Saturday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM</p> <p>Starting rate is $18.25 + 10% second shift differential</p> <p>Will train on first shift for a period of time.</p> <p>Previous medical background is a plus.</p> <p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>Responsible for the critical processes related to received donor tissue and to the final destination.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Tissue Receiving Coordinator I</p> <ul> <li>Prepares tissue for shipment by packaging and labeling to internal/external facilities. </li><li>Performs pre-processing cultures. </li><li>Performs discard process accurately and in a timely manner. </li><li>Responsible for temperature monitoring and alarm handling of storage units. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Tissue Receiving Coordinator I</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Intermediate computer literacy. </li><li>Solid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detail. </li><li>Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers. </li><li>Ability to follow directions and serve well as a team member. </li><li>Ability to enter and report numbers accurately. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to take call and work after hours as needed. </li><li>Requires heavy lifting. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and be considered insurable by Solvita insurance provider. </li><li>Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Demonstrate positive team building behaviors that include effective decision making. </li><li>Ability to be competent in all Tissue Receiving Coordinator I training modules and working independently within 6 months. </li><li>Must be able to be on call for levels II, III, and IV. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in a health-related field. </li><li>Knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique. </li><li>Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS). </li><li>One year of tissue banking experience. </li></ul>
