<p>K</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>As an Electrician Field Technician at US Distribution, a division of Parts and Service under Komatsu, you will play a crucial role in timely and effective repairs of machine components in the shop. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide scope of tasks to ensure the efficiency and safety of all repair work.</p> <p>Scope</p> <ul> <li>Maintain an annual repair efficiency of 85% </li><li>Maintain annual rework hours (as a percentage of hours billed) of less than 3% </li><li>Adhere to standard repair times defined by Komatsu Equipment Company (KEC) job codes listed in PFW </li><li>Achieve all company balanced scorecard goals </li><li>Maintain a minimum average score of 4 - 6 on the Technical Section of the Technician Competency Matrix </li><li>Maintain a minimum average score of 4 - 6 on the Soft Skills Section of the Technician Competency Matrix </li><li>Attain a score of no lower than 7 on the Safety Section of the Technician Competency Matrix </li></ul> <p>Key Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and the re-do metric </li><li>Follow all safety policies and procedures of KEC and the customers </li><li>Accurately complete related paperwork and access necessary databases for job completion </li><li>Adhere to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations </li><li>Perform parts removal and installation, component disassembly and assembly, and testing and adjustment of assemblies with minimal supervision </li><li>Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers </li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and give repair recommendations </li><li>Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments </li><li>Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required </li><li>Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work </li></ul> <p>Language Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with customers, clients, and other employees </li></ul> <p>Mathematical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with numbers, perform calculations, and analyze data </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills</p> <p>Proficiency in database, internet, manufacturing software, and order processing systems</p> <p>Other Skills</p> <p>Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, communication, teamwork, planning/organizational, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability skills are required for this position</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</p> <ul> <li>Certified to operate a forklift and/or manlift </li><li>May need to complete a DOT physical </li><li>Required to complete MSHA certification </li><li>May need to complete respirator certification </li></ul> <p>Tooling</p> <p>Must have a basic set of mechanics tools as per Komatsu Equipment Company technician tool list</p> <p>Policies and Procedures</p> <p>Adhere to all Company policies and procedures</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Work in environments with moving mechanical parts and exposure to chemicals </li><li>Be exposed to various environmental conditions including wet/humid, high places, extreme heat, and noise </li></ul> <p>Diversity & Inclusion Commitment</p> <p>At Komatsu we come from diverse backgrounds, with unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions.?
