<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for researching, developing, delivering, and evaluating training for all state agencies. Training may include topics such as team building, conflict resolution, accountability, trust, new supervisor development, leadership development, and project management. In addition, this position will use data to help determine training needs, develop and update curriculum, consult with leadership and management, and support a variety of workforce development programs. This position will collaborate with other members of the Bureau of Training and Development as well as stakeholders, agency contacts, and external representatives to provide training for the state workforce.</p> <p>We are looking for a proactive training developer and facilitator who thrives on owning the end-to-end process: researching competencies, mapping skills, and building engaging trainings that drive results. If you are a collaborative problem-solver with a growth mindset who is self-motivated, this is the role for you.</p> <p>For more information, please view the complete position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting hourly rate for the Training and Development Specialist - Senior position (schedule/range 81-03) will be $35.00 per hour - $38.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. DOA does not sponsor work visas and is not an eligible OPT (Optional Practical Training) employer for F-1 international students. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.</p> <p>Candidates selected to interview will be required to do a short training presentation as part of the process.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience with each of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Researching and narrowing content to design virtual and in-person training based on learning outcomes and grounded in adult learning theory and/or Bloom's taxonomy. </li><li>Developing and modifying training materials and resources for a variety of audiences. </li><li>Delivering and evaluating virtual and in-person training sessions. </li><li>Using a variety of interactive training strategies for virtual and in-person sessions (e.g., breakout rooms, polling, Gallery Walk, etc.). </li></ul> <p>In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitating virtual and in-person training using best practices in accessibility, usability, and inclusion to engage all learners. </li><li>Using WCAG 2.1 standards to develop training materials. </li><li>Providing training in risk management, project management, and/or change management. </li><li>Providing training to employees in leadership or management positions. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
