<p>The Workforce Development Instructor is responsible for the planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any College campus as assigned. </p> <ul> <li> Assume responsibility for instruction of all assigned classes. </li><li> Assist in departmental projects, such as the preparation/selection of course outline/syllabi, selection of textbooks/materials, etc. </li><li> Assist in organizing, planning and instructing classes for the Workforce Development Division, as well as maintaining the records and files. </li><li> Assist with marketing and promoting all Workforce Development classes and business solutions to the community. </li><li> Assist with serving as liaison to business and industry, state agencies, government, economic development and associations to meet workforce needs. </li><li> Foster a customer service environment for fellow employees, students, and visitors. Be an Ambassador for the College. Support the college's initiative to maximize retention of current students and enable students to finish their collegiate goals. </li><li> Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the ACCS Chancellor's Office, and the College. </li><li> Participate in College functions (Award and Honor events, Alumni Homecoming, Commencement, etc.). </li><li> Assume other work related responsibilities as assigned by the appropriately assigned College administrator. </li><li> Effective written and oral communication skills </li><li> Knowledge of and skills in word processing, database, internet, desktop publishing, etc. </li><li> Ability to work effectively with the general public, students, customers and College personnel. </li></ul> <p>Must have a minimum of a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.</p> <p>Salary: Pay commensurate with industry market, part time up to 19 hours per week.</p> <p>A complete application packet consists of:</p> <ol> <li> <p> A completed SSCC employment application</p> </li><li> <p> Current resume</p> </li><li> <p> Transcripts verifying required degree/certification (unofficial copies will be accepted before the deadline but official transcripts from all colleges must be on file prior to employment).
