<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Material Coordinator is a person in a production environment who is tasked with keeping work stations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of productivity.</p> <p>The Material Coordinator will place the needs of the team as top priority. This key position will primarily be responsible for daily/hourly scheduling and providing the materials to coworkers in a timely and most efficient manner so that other employees can remain at their work stations and focus on the tasks at hand.</p> <p>Success will be measured by:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to support production floor by providing continuous flow of stock for WOs </li><li>Thorough knowledge of product lines and products both in inventory and being produced </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Work with Supervisors, teammates, and others regarding the production schedule and materials, parts, tooling,etc. needed for the day </li><li>Responsible for the movement of raw material and supplies into the production area to be staged into the workcells </li><li>Assemble manufacturing documentation based on the production schedule </li><li>Recommend any changes in schedules to the team </li><li>Verify and ensure inventory accuracy, including accurate part identification labels and quantities </li><li>Maintains accurate stock levels, inventories, and locations </li><li>Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required </li><li>Identify and assist in continuous improvement measures </li><li>Maintain quality and productivity standards </li><li>Ensure the work environment is clean and safe </li><li>Back up Shipping Department as needed </li><li>Any additional work assigned by Supervisor </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) </li><li>Understand basic manufacturing process and how supply inventory control interacts with upstream and downstream functions </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Strong basic math skills </li><li>Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input ERP system data </li><li>Ability to work with multiple priorities and people </li><li>Ability to professionally communicate and work with others </li><li>Fork truck trained/certified </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>SSP CORE PRINCIPLES</p> <p>At SSP, we strive to operate everyday with the following Core Principles:</p> <ul> <li>We are comfortable being uncomfortable </li><li>We give each other grace </li><li>Every day is an opportunity to make a difference </li><li>Never settle for good enough </li><li>No politics </li></ul>
