Hunt Transport Services Neuroscience Institute; Washington Regional Walker Heart Institute; Washington Regional Women and Infants Center; Washington Regional Total Joint Center; and Washington Regional Pat Walker Center for Seniors.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The role of the Driver reports to the Center Manager. This position, under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, will be responsible for safely providing transportation services to PACE participants.</p> <p>Essential Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure vehicle operation is conducted in a safe manner and all state motor vehicle operator regulations are fulfilled </li><li>Actively monitor safety precautions when driving to ensure participant safety </li><li>Perform safety checks of vehicles as required and ensure vehicle is properly maintained </li><li>Ensure safe escort and care of participants at all times </li><li>Provide basic life saving measures to participants in the event of emergency </li><li>Assist participants with safely entering and exiting vehicle </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or GED </li><li>Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required. Driver's license and auto liability insurance, required. </li><li>Experience: Previous experience with transporting the elderly population, required. Previous direct patient care experience, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of work time sitting while operating a motor vehicle. This position will spend 20% of work time standing and/or walking frequent short distances and pushing, pulling and/or lifting 50lbs. This position may be exposed to bodily fluids. This position must possess the ability to work independently and effectively with the geriatric population, including those individuals with a diverse ethnic and cultural background.</p> <p>Qualifications</p>
