<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides and documents clinical supervision to subordinate staff qualified mental health professionals and mental health officers.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures clinical services are provided in accordance with SCDC policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides and documents administrative supervision to subordinate qualified mental health professionals and administrative assistants.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides mental health services in conjunction with subordinate staff for inmates in SMHU.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate and complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides oversight and monitoring of all crisis intervention activities in assigned area to ensure services are provided in accordance with policy and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures after hours coverage for crisis intervention and participates in on-call rotation.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures facilitation of and participates in treatment team and regularly scheduled staff meetings and other scheduled meetings as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A master's degree in clinical social work, counseling, or related degree and four (4) years of experience in counseling.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be licensed as an LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, LISW, or LMFT or higher</p> </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>Have comparable out of state licensure with eligibility for SCLLR license which must be obtained within 6 months. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Prefer LPC, LPC-S, LISW-CP, LISW-CP-S, LMFT, or LMFT-S license.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
