Great attendance and great attitude are essential.</p> <p>The ideal candidate should posses the following traits:</p> <ul> <li>Follow and promote safe work practices </li><li>Be detail oriented </li><li>Able to read a tape measure proficiently </li><li>Assemble and construct metal products </li><li>Able to stand for long periods of time </li><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds or more </li><li>Be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings </li><li>Be experienced in handling a variety of metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery </li></ul> <p>As well as the following skills:</p> <ul> <li>Loading and unloading material </li><li>Material handling inside and outside of shop </li><li>Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, drill presses, electric punch and other power and hand tools </li><li>Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring the final product is accurate, functional, and meets the required specifications </li><li>Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards </li><li>Assemble door hardware </li><li>Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures </li><li>Regularly maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery used in the shop </li><li>Technical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools, and machinery </li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints </li></ul>
