<p>Cook -Full Time</p> <p>Schedule 8am-4pm</p> <p>Pay $20.00 / hour</p> <p>People, Incorporated is a human service agency serving the Southcoast community, including the Greater Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton areas. Let People, Incorporated be Your Path to Opportunity!</p> <p>SUMMARY: The employee participates as part of the Early Childhood Education Division to prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with USDA and MA Serve Safe standard.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Order foods necessary to meet menu offerings, portions, and servings</p> </li><li> <p>Organize and maintain food storage areas</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule and prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks for program participants</p> </li><li> <p>Provide invoices to program director</p> </li><li> <p>Examine food for quality and expiration</p> </li><li> <p>Log food and refrigeration temperatures to ensure appropriate food storage safety</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain daily cleanliness and operation of kitchen equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare foods in accordance with USDA and Massachusetts ServSafe standards</p> </li><li> <p>Provide supervision for kitchen staff to include Agency Job Coaches and individuals as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a current list of program participants allergens and prepare an alternate meal if necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. for cleanliness prior to storage</p> </li><li> <p>Attend staff meetings, open house, and parent events as required</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the program meets all Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and documentation procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with outside vendors for food and kitchen supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain all program and Agency required trainings</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree or equivalent obtained through accredited vocational or food service program. </li><li>Knowledge and skill obtained through a minimum of one year of work experience in an early childhood setting preferred </li><li>Experience with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and documentation procedures preferred </li><li>Current Serve Safe Certification </li><li>Skill in interacting appropriately with children, clients and staff. </li><li>Knowledge of USDA and local health and food service regulations. </li><li>All candidates must have a qualifying criminal background check.
