<p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Senior Facilities and Electrical Engineer manages various City owned facilities capital infrastructure projects through the preparation of plans and specifications for building, mechanical systems, and maintenance projects across all City buildings and Citywide electrical infrastructure. The Senior Facilities and Electrical Engineer plays an integral role in the maintenance of the City's facilities and electrical infrastructure.</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $90,209 - $115,274 annually, with the starting salary depending on experience and qualifications. We are also offering a sign on bonus of $2,500 for this Sr. Facilities & Electrical Engineer opening. (Click the Benefits tab to find out more!)</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Support City's Facilities and Electrical Maintenance teams by providing engineering and operational support as needed. </li><li>Manages the design of facilities and electrical capital improvement projects. </li><li>Provides Engineering services related to City owned power distribution, lighting, emergency power, street lighting, and other City electrical infrastructure. </li><li>Provides Engineering services for mechanical systems; including HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire suppression systems for a wide variety of projects types and sizes. </li><li>Ensures utility systems meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. </li><li>Validates, optimizes, and analyzes efficiency for cost savings and reduction of energy throughout City operations. </li><li>Identifies infrastructure improvements which drive operating costs down, and/or support a more robust electrical integrity. </li><li>Participates in the development of the City's five-year Capital Improvement Program by analyzing facility and electrical infrastructure needs, establishing priorities and recommending projects. </li><li>Manage Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station initiatives to include development of EV charging strategic and renewable programs. </li><li>Provide construction support on facilities and electrical infrastructure and maintenance projects. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program required. </li><li>5+ years of related experience. </li><li>Experience in electrical and facilities design, with project management experience strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Wisconsin. </li><li>Master Electrician License is strongly preferred. </li><li>A valid Wisconsin Driver's License is required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, employee performs standard office activity requiring little physical effort; employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, ability to adjust focus including close, distance and peripheral vision; depth perception.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The noise level in the office work environment is low to moderate. Not normally exposed to disagreeable elements or beyond a limited degree of risk or discomfort. The employee is exposed to time pressures, frequent "rush" jobs, urgent deadlines, and multiple priorities. The work is prone to changes in priorities and changes in the level of urgency.
