Stress tests include: nuclear stress, stress ehocardiograms and cardiopulmonary stress tests. Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms. Holter monitor hookup. Participates in unit quality improvement projects. Individual departmental-specific duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>Successful completion of ultrasound or cardiovascular technology program with emphasis on echocardiography </li><li>Successful completion of all required orientation programs is required </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience to perform all modalities of cardiac non-invasive testing is preferred </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support /CPR certification required through American Heart Association. </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Flex Schedule </li><li>Coverage for day, evening and weekend shifts </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Applies, removes, and completes log book accurately for holter monitors as per departmental policy. </li><li>Demonstrates strong organizational skills, communicates effectively. </li><li>Organizes daily schedule and demonatrates time management. </li><li>Ensures RDCS/RCS Certification is current. </li><li>Maintains that the department remains organized, including restocking supplies to avoid unnecessary patient delays. </li><li>Informs department manager when supplies are to be ordered so that inventory is maintained on the floor. </li><li>Maintains ultrasound equipment (including carts and probes) in operable condition. </li><li>Disinfects and appropriately stores TEE and echo probes as per protocol on daily basis. </li><li>Manages time and procedural performance of technical staff (including him/herself) to meet the needs of the Lab. </li><li>Possesses good working knowledge of scheduling and procedure prioritization to minimize delays and ensure completion of daily work schedule. </li><li>Performs complete echocardiograms (all modalities) inclusive of obtaining images and providing preliminary interpretation. </li><li>Performs stress testing. Connects and removes Holter monitors. </li><li>Assists physicians in TEE procedures. </li><li>Provide preliminary reports for echocardiograms and review with physicians as required. </li><li>Records appropriate documentation in patient medical records.
