<p>Description</p> <p>Martindale Brightwood Health Center - 2855 N Keystone Avenue, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46218Pay starting at $25/hr.Fair Labor Standards Act Classification: Non-Exempt</p> <p>This position provides technical support, training and coordinates operational issues for HealthNet information systems (Electronic Medical Records, "EMR"). Assists in standardizing processes and procedures that are derived from users of the HealthNet information systems. The position works to analyze system needs and current clinical needs, working with HealthNet associates, management and vendors to prepare program specifications. Implements new systems and system enhancements and resolves day-to-day user related system problems. Maintains systems to meet HealthNet operational goals and processes.</p> <p>50% of position will be teaching/training team members EMR system.</p> <p>Information Systems Support:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as coordinator for all electronic medical record system issues, upgrades, changes and testing. </li><li>Develops, maintains and modifies various system capabilities to ensure system enhancements that will be consistent with process goals and regulatory mandates. </li><li>Performs functional or integrated testing of application updates, providing feedback of findings and facilitating communication to users in a manner to ensure compliance. </li><li>Monitors functionality of systems as appropriate. </li><li>Assists with the search and evaluation of technical solutions and/or alternatives. </li></ul> <p>Training and Development:</p> <ul> <li>Provides training to associates and continuing education on specialized system processes. </li><li>Develops and updates user documentation and information related to the most effective and productive use of the system. </li><li>Maintains and continues to expand knowledge of applications, methods, operations and processes. </li><li>Provides translation of how systems are used to support the processes established by the operations areas. </li></ul> <p>Information Systems Liaison:</p> <ul> <li>Meets frequently with associates, Managers and Senior Management to provide information on system capabilities. </li><li>Acts as project leader or participant in implementing system and process changes as required by clinical & operations areas. </li><li>Provides consultative services for workflow and systems process issues. </li><li>Interacts with HealthNet associates, Managers and Senior Management to maintain understanding of system requirements to support operational requirements. </li></ul> <p>Vendor Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Identifies necessary changes, problems, upgrade requirements to system vendors and technicians. </li><li>Creates specifications for changes, upgrades or problem resolution. Monitors progress of resolution and coordinates testing of changes with system vendors. </li></ul> <p>System Documentation:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for creation and maintenance of detailed user documentation for HealthNet's electronic medical record systems and other HealthNet information systems. </li></ul> <p>Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Performs quality evaluation of system performance and documents on a regular basis. </li><li>Writes and seeks approval for policies and procedures documentation. </li><li>Provides feedback on issues to management on a regular basis. </li></ul> <p>Readiness:</p> <ul> <li>Job requires availability as needed to meet the business needs. </li></ul> <p>Job responsibilities listed above is a summary and does not include other tasks requested by the Clinic Info Systems/EMR Manager.</p> <p>Who is HealthNet?</p> <p>https://www.indyhealthnet.org/</p> <p>HealthNet is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization of community-based health centers located in Indianapolis and Bloomington, IN Since 1968, HealthNet has improved the health status of the neighborhoods it serves by making quality health services accessible to everyone.
