<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Mechanics are responsible for providing quality, timely, and cost-effective repair and general maintenance for fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, forklifts, convertor dollies, and other equipment that requires preventable maintenance, general repairs, modification and troubleshooting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform preventive maintenance and routine maintenance on Company fleet equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures to tractors, trailers, forklifts or other equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Use of forklift, dolly, man-lift, vehicle hoist, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and other shop equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Properly complete work orders and related documentation within the Company's maintenance tracking software.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with both drivers and Managers to gather information needed to complete repairs and maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Tests equipment after repairs are completed to ensure they're functioning as expected.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>LA County Additional Information</p> <p>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.</p> <p><em>Background check required under 49 CFR Part 391.
