<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production Support I team member to assist in a variety of essential production tasks within our fabrication shop. This role supports higher-skilled tradespeople such as welders and fitters, contributes to material preparation, and ensures cleanliness and efficiency in key work areas. This is a physically demanding position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and strong adherence to safety practices, especially when working in dusty or temperature-variable environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist skilled production personnel including welders and fitters with materials handling, staging, and setup. </li><li>Clean and maintain work areas, including removing scrap, dust, and debris to ensure a safe working environment. </li><li>Perform duties in dusty conditions, occasionally requiring the use of dust masks or other respiratory protection. </li><li>Work in various shop environments including areas with extreme heat or cold. </li><li>Support the chop saw area with material prepping, sorting, and organizing cut parts. </li><li>Handle fiberglass materials as needed, following all safety and PPE protocols. </li><li>Assist with air testing procedures and equipment setup as directed. </li><li>Maintain tools and equipment in clean, serviceable condition. </li><li>Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial, construction, or fabrication setting preferred. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods. </li><li>Comfortable working in hot, cold, or dusty environments. </li><li>Strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks. </li><li>Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring equipment. </li><li>Safety-conscious and reliable; must follow all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements. </li><li>Experience with fiberglass handling or air testing is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Active industrial shop with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery. </li><li>Frequent use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust masks as required. </li></ul>
