This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple DoD customers develop "bleeding edge" technology protecting our warfighters in the field. Your role will directly support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of requirements and design architecture analysis; MBSE Model development; mentoring junior engineers and assisting technical leadership develop briefing material.</p> <p>Please Note: Candidates must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>As a Senior Systems Engineer with Leidos, you will use MBSE methodologies and tools to help develop system architectures on new development programs and incorporating Leidos unique capabilities into test or fielded HW. This role will also assist the Solution Architect (SA) or Primary Investigator (PI) in aligning the solution architecture to the customer requirements. Opportunities for potential customer interaction and ideal way to grow into a SA or PI.</p> <p>Day-to-day life will involve exercising existing tools and models and creating new models to represent emerging systems. This will be a synthesis of MBSE tools like NoMagic CSM to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Capture, decompose, and trace system level requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze, define, and refine architectures, and interfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop system structure and behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with government stakeholders, software, test, mechanical and electrical teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor junior team members.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree with 6+ years of experience in one of these areas: systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering or related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a US Citizen.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a SIL environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SysML, preferably using Cameo/MagicDraw.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Active TS clearance.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.</p> </li><li> <p>OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with executable SysML simulation capabilities and scripting languages.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with MBSE methodologies such as Magicgrid.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of military CONOPS.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading other systems engineers.</p> </li></ul> <p>NKE</p> <p>ElectronicWarfare</p> <p>If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
