We seek forward-thinking scholars whose research and teaching emphasize sustainability as a core business strategy-creating value while addressing environmental challenges within the hospitality and/or tourism industries.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and teach courses that integrate sustainable business strategies, preparing students to meet evolving industry demands. </li><li>Engage in interdisciplinary research and foster industry partnerships to promote sustainability as a value-driven approach. </li><li>Contribute to curriculum development with a focus on student preparation for real-world applications. </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Position 1: Earned doctorate in Hospitality Management or a related discipline by the start date of employment.</p> <p>Position 2: Earned doctorate in Tourism Management or a related discipline by the start date of employment.</p> <p>Both Positions:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching and research interests in Sustainability in Hospitality and/or Tourism Management </li><li>Active research agenda with a record of impactful, peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals </li><li>Demonstrated ability (or potential) to secure external funding </li><li>Evidence of high-quality classroom instruction </li><li>Ability to teach in a secondary core area of the department (e.g., hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, event management) </li><li>Strong communication skills and effectiveness in teaching students from diverse backgrounds </li><li>Experience in implementing sustainability strategies that drive business value is highly desirable </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>A proven track record in securing grants related to sustainability within hospitality and/or tourism fields</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Desired Start Date 08/16/2025 Job Open Date 02/20/2025 Job Close Date 05/20/2025 Open Until Filled No Special Instructions to Applicant</p> <p>Initial review of applicants will commence March 24, 2025 and continue until the position is filled. The appointment start date will be August 16, 2025.</p> <p>Salary is $86K-$91K, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
