Visit the link below to apply.</p> <p>Apply at: https://nessearches.com/avpdfa-radford/</p> <p>Contact Name: Laura Robinson</p> <p>Contact Email: laura.robinson@nessearches.com</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications, the Associate Vice President (AVP) and Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the strategic leadership and administration of Radford University's financial aid programs. The AVP/Director will ensure the timely distribution of aid, accurate reporting, and compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations while ensuring high customer service for students and their families. The AVP/Director will supervise a team of 17 full-time staff and 10 student workers by providing mentorship and professional development support. The AVP/Director will collaborate with university and state officials to optimize enrollment and retention through financial strategies and seek resolutions that benefit students while upholding the highest standards of ethics. The AVP/Director will serve as part of the Enrollment Management leadership team and assist the Vice President in executive decision making and committee participation. The Director will participate in university-wide efforts to lower barriers to student enrollment and enhance student success. The AVP/Director will oversee financial-aid software (Banner) and reporting tools to generate reports on loan balances, defaults, cost-of attendance surveys, aid programs and grants.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Supervisory experience leading a team of financial aid professionals </li><li>Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in financial aid administration </li><li>Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs, regulations (Title IV), and compliance requirements </li><li>Exceptional leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills </li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities </li><li>Proficiency with financial aid management systems (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft, or similar) </li><li>Commitment to inclusive and best practices in financial aid practices, specifically evidence of working to lower barriers for low-income populations </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced degree </li><li>Experience with financial aid modeling </li><li>Experience in a public university setting </li><li>Experience working in the Commonwealth of Virginia and distributing state-specific aid programs </li><li>Familiarity with financial literacy initiatives and student debt management strategies </li><li>Strong public speaking and communication skills for student and family outreach </li><li>Experience using Banner system </li></ul> <p>Is this position Grant Funded: No</p> <p>Is this position restricted: No</p> <p>Is this position eligible for telework: Yes</p> <p>Hours Per Week: 40</p> <p>Months per Year: 12</p> <p>Statement of Economic Interest Required:Yes</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Work Classification: Administrative & Professional Faculty</p> <p>Normal Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, some nights and weekends</p> <p>Department: Financial Aid</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with Education and Experience</p> <p>Apply for this job at: https://nessearches.com/avpdfa-radford/</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Statement:</p> <p>Radford University does not discriminate with regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, national origin, religion, or political affiliation in the administration of its educational programs, activities, admission or employment practices.</p> <p>Clery Statement</p> <p>In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Radford University publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.
