<p>Kforce is working with a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Junior Technical Writer for a six-month contract period.</p> <p>Summary: This role will focus on creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for internal systems, processes, and support workflows across the organization. friendly documentation for internal systems, processes, and support workflows across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, comfortable working with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and skilled at translating complex systems into easy-to-understand documentation that supports both internal teams and franchise partners. oriented, comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and skilled at translating complex systems into easy-to-understand documentation that supports both internal teams and franchise partners.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Create, edit, and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for franchise partners and internal teams, including SOPs, process guides, FAQs, and reference materials </li><li>Friendly documentation for franchise partners and internal teams, including SOPs, process guides, FAQs, and reference materials </li><li>Develop franchise facing content that supports system usage, operational processes, and new initiatives </li><li>Partner with business, operations, and technical stakeholders to understand workflows and translate them into accessible documentation </li><li>Ensure documentation is written in plain, business friendly language tailored to a non-technical audience </li><li>Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across all documentation </li><li>Support the creation of onboarding materials, job aids, and training resources for franchise and internal use </li><li>Organize and structure documentation to improve usability, adoption, and ongoing maintenance </li><li>Proactively identify gaps or opportunities to improve documentation and communication* 1-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, business writing, or a related role (including internships or contract work) </li><li>Experience creating clear, user-friendly documentation, such as SOPs, process guides, FAQs, job aids, or internal help content </li><li>Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain processes and systems clearly to non-technical audiences </li><li>Ability to write in plain, business-friendly language while maintaining accuracy and clarity </li><li>Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) or stakeholders to gather information and validate content </li><li>Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in documentation </li><li>Basic experience organizing content so it is easy to navigate, maintain, and update </li><li>Comfort using common documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, SharePoint, </li><li>Experience with Confluence, or similar platforms </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, take feedback well, and meet deadlines </li></ul>
