<p>We are looking for experienced software engineer with experience in building frameworks to test product programmatically and build tools to monitor health. This position will support ownership related applications, which includes supercharging, robotaxi, tesla roaming initiatives, upgrades, subscriptions, tesla electric, tesla external APIs, AI agents and other enterprise workflows. This is backend orchestration team focused on building distributed systems to power customer facing interfaces including mobile app, vehicle and third-party platforms.</p> <ul> <li>In this role, your job responsibilities will include integrating with our Core services team, writing automation for new and existing features, as well triaging and maintaining automation across multiple products </li><li>Build the infrastructure to test the product programmatically, measure code coverage and automate test cases. Recognize areas for automation and convert them into efficient automated workflows for testing </li><li>The position demands a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a cross-functional team environment </li><li>You will be passionate about testing the services, developing automation frameworks and tools for validating core components that are part of the platform </li><li>Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Developers to understand product requirements, and translate them into a robust test strategy </li><li>Promote software engineering best practices by using your code as the example, along with participation in code reviews, building tools, and documentation </li><li>Be nimble and react quickly to changing business conditions and priorities and leverage your existing skills while learning and implementing new technologies </li><li>Write backend integration tests for RESTful APIs, develop Python frameworks and libraries to help support automated test case development </li><li>Provide technical leadership, driving and performing engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs </li><li>Guide scalability, stress, and performance testing for products and document test results and recommendations </li><li>Degree in Compuer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience </li><li>6+ years of experience writing automation tests for RESTful APIs </li><li>Experience in one of these Java, .NET CORE, Python, Golang and dependency injection. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of writing automation tests for RESTful APIs </li><li>Working knowledge of continuous deployment, feature toggles, logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting </li><li>Database experience (MySQL, SQL Server) and good knowledge in query optimization </li><li>Expert knowledge of REST APIs and Microservice architecture, experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Queue processing experience (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) </li><li>Experience with distributed systems spanning multiple regions, with complex interdependencies </li></ul>
