This role supports routine packaging operations for dry and liquid chemical products, following well-established procedures and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Packaging Operations</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine packaging of dry and liquid chemicals for storage or transport following established SOPs and Batch Records. </li><li>Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery including starting, stopping, clearing jams, and making minor adjustments for product size or flow. </li><li>Observe machine performance to ensure quality and conformity to standards. </li><li>Prepare products and materials for continuous, efficient packaging operations. </li><li>Stock and organize packaging materials; maintain clean and orderly workstations. </li></ul> <p>Quality & Documentation</p> <ul> <li>Document procedures, equipment verifications, and packaging activities accurately in Batch Records. </li><li>Inspect and remove defective products or materials; separate and record rejected items. </li><li>Test, evaluate, and verify product weight and measurements to meet quality standards. </li><li>Label finished products and complete all required documentation for packaged items. </li><li>Count and record finished and rejected units. </li></ul> <p>Material Handling & Equipment Care</p> <ul> <li>Palletize finished goods or pack products into cartons/containers. </li><li>Secure packaged items by hand tying, attaching fasteners, or sewing. </li><li>Clean, assemble, and perform minor repairs on equipment using hand tools. </li><li>Safely operate hand trucks and forklifts. </li></ul> <p>Safety & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Follow all safety procedures including PPE use, gowning, housekeeping, workplace organization, and cleaning requirements. </li><li>Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations. </li><li>Support continuous improvement and any additional tasks assigned by Management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Basic math and English comprehension. </li><li>Basic understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing methods. </li><li>Knowledge of safety, health, environmental rules, policies, and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshooting and product inspection. </li><li>Operation control and monitoring. </li><li>Equipment maintenance and light mechanical repair. </li><li>Material resource management. </li></ul> <p>Physical & Functional Requirements</p> <p>Applicants must be able to perform the following essential physical tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Work in extreme temperatures, including heat up to 120°F. </li><li>Lift up to 55 pounds safely and repeatedly. </li><li>Drive a forklift safely and efficiently. </li><li>Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and physical capabilities test. </li><li>Pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator per SOPs. </li><li>Squat to touch the floor 10 times unassisted. </li><li>Graduated lift of 55 lbs from 4" to 57". </li><li>Stack multiple 40-55 lb bags within 10 minutes. </li><li>Push at least 102 lbs from any height; pull ~100 lbs at 36". </li><li>Climb a vertical ladder (15 rungs; repeated sequences). </li><li>Lift 30 lbs overhead for 1 repetition. </li><li>Perform scraping simulation of 20 lbs (clockwise/counter-clockwise) for 2 minutes at 18" height. </li><li>Simulate valve opening/closing at 60" height. </li><li>Maneuver 185 lbs from floor to 4" height once. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Work in a high-quality, safety-focused, GMP environment. </li><li>Hands-on work with room to grow skills in manufacturing and packaging operations. </li><li>Competitive pay and benefits (add details if available). </li></ul>
