These leaders emerge from all levels of the network</p> <p>helping to create a shared vision reflecting the mission, vision, and values of St. Joseph's.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Performs all general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, testing and monitoring of the hospital's electrical</p> <p>systems and wiring, including high, medium and low voltage systems and communication (voice and data) wiring. Performs other</p> <p>duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals. Safety and regulatory compliance is a condition of</p> <p>employment. May be required to work other shifts as well as rotating schedules and overtime.</p> <p>EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:</p> <p>High school graduate or equivalent plus accredited trade or vocational training with one (1) year minimum experience, preferably in a</p> <p>hospital setting. General knowledge of NEC, NFPA and local code requirements. Previously completed apprenticeship program</p> <p>highly desirable but not required.</p> <p>Participates in orientation and continuing education in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.</p> <p>SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Working knowledge and ability to utilize standard electrical testing equipment including but not limited to VOM, ammeters, circuit</p> <p>tracers, meggers, ground fault detection equipment, etc. Experience with high voltage switch gear, low voltage circuitry, emergency</p> <p>power systems, UPS power systems and emergency generators. Ability to read and interpret blue prints and electrical schematics.</p> <p>Ability to calculate material requirements from drawing and schematics. Exposure class I.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Heavy work. Requires lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, walking, standing, and carrying.</p> <p>WORK CONTACT GROUP:</p> <p>All service staff, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, and various regulatory and professional service staff.</p> <p>SUPERVISED BY:</p> <p>Coordinator of Services or Manager</p> <p>SUPERVISES:</p> <p>None</p> <p>CAREER PATH:</p> <p>Electrician, Coordinator of Services</p> <p>General Performance Criteria: Electrician</p> <p>EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Provide emergency response to all hospital electrical </li></ul> <p>systems as required.</p> <ul> <li>Performs preventative maintenance and repair on all </li></ul> <p>hospital electrical systems.</p> <ul> <li>Transfer power to alternate sources when needed. </li><li>Performs emergency generator testing. </li><li>Tests and maintains emergency power systems. </li><li>Maintains hospital nurse call system. </li><li>Installs power and communication wiring. </li><li>Supports construction/renovation project installations </li></ul> <p>as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Orders needed parts and materials and follows-up to ensure </li></ul> <p>timely delivery.</p> <ul> <li>Performs general cleaning of maintenance areas and mechanical </li></ul> <p>rooms.</p> <ul> <li>Follows rules, policies, and directions and seeks clarification </li></ul> <p>if necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Works efficiently and completes assigned tasks in a timely manner. </li><li>Projects a positive and professional image of self and the </li></ul> <p>hospital.</p> <ul> <li>Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $25.85-37.50</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
