<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities</p> <p>Conduct performance evaluations of individuals including but not limited to the role of Technician and Technology Specialist I</p> <p>Measure and evaluate staff performance, responsiveness and efficacy of the day-to-day technical support provided to the organization</p> <p>Define yearly goals for staff. Meet with staff periodically to evaluate progress on annual performance goals and objectives</p> <p>Maintain and distribute weekly technician schedule</p> <p>Monitor ticket queues regularly to ensure tickets are being addressed in an accurate and timely manner. Follow up with technology staff regularly regarding their performance relative to handling tickets</p> <p>Provide consultative support and services to the user community to ensure problem resolution, system and data access, and optimal system performance</p> <p>Monitor locations to ensure that CREC Technology Services policies, procedures, and/or standards are being met or exceeded.</p> <p>Train and mentor IT support staff to ensure delivery of effective front-line technical support to staff and students</p> <p>Work with Technology Manager and Director to identify appropriate SLA's for the delivery of technology services</p> <p>Complete yearly budgeting for technology software and services. Participate in yearly budgeting process</p> <p>Assists with maintenance and upkeep of technology infrastructure either personally or via assigned delegates including ensuring that telecommunications rooms/closets are maintained in a clean and orderly manner, disposing of equipment that has reached the end of its useful life, and assisting CREC's network administrator with equipment maintenance and upgrades</p> <p>Foster an environment that embraces diversity, integrity, trust and respect</p> <p>Manage and implement complex technology projects; assign project related activities to staff; Ensure projects are completed within established timelines. Answer questions and provide information to staff, management and others</p> <p>Investigate concerns pertaining to service delivery or technical operations and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve concerns. Escalate concerns as needed to Manager, I.T. Support or Managing Director as needed</p> <p>Assist technology staff in resolving technical issues as needed including but not limited to PC, laptop, server, network, and phone issues</p> <p>Participate in and contribute to various technology related committees</p> <p>Comply with all company policies and procedures</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems or related field and at least five years of experience working in a technology environment is preferred or a combination of education and work experience. </li><li>Consistently and successfully demonstrates the ability to handle the responsibilities of a CREC Technology Specialist II or higher in CREC schools, programs and/or central office with minimal </li><li>Daily supervision or assistance. </li><li>Advanced technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, etc. preferred. </li><li>Brings an expert level of proficiency in leading and driving a group of individuals to provide outstanding customer service relative to resolving technical issues and or completing technical projects. </li><li>Is frequently the go-to person when technology staff need assistance resolving technical issues. </li><li>Has working level knowledge of information technology, networking, and providing technical support in an educational environment. </li><li>Personal Computers - Laptops, desktops, tablets, Chromebooks. </li><li>Computer peripherals - printers, docking stations, monitors. </li><li>Smart phones </li><li>Networks </li><li>Network infrastructure </li><li>Server technology </li><li>Client operating Systems </li><li>Software packages </li><li>Patch management </li><li>Cloud services (i.e. Google Suite, Office 365) </li><li>Office equipment </li><li>Video conferencing </li><li>Cybersecurity </li></ul> <p>DISCLAIMER STATEMENT:</p> <p>The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
