<p>Overview</p> <p>Steinhafels is hiring for a furniture finisher to repair upholstered furniture to ensure our customers receive high-quality products.</p> <p>Steinhafels, founded in 1934, is an employee-owned, family-run company. With our positive company culture and strong focus on work-life balance for our associates, we continue to be an employer of choice and are looking to add to our dynamic team.</p> <p>Based on eligibility, we offer many great benefits including a fantastic employee discount, paid training, paid time off, paid holidays, health & dental insurance, 401(k), participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and more.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Furniture Upholstery:</p> <ul> <li>Strip old fabric and materials from furniture frames. </li><li>Measure, cut, and attach new fabric, padding, and other materials using appropriate tools (staple guns, glue, sewing machines, etc.). </li><li>Repair or replace springs, webbing, and structural parts of furniture. </li><li>Clean finished upholstered furniture using appropriate methods (vacuuming, spot-cleaning, fabric-safe cleaners). </li><li>Treat and protect upholstery fabrics with stain guards or protective coatings as required. </li><li>Inspect furniture for stains, dirt, or damage prior to shipping or showroom placement and clean as needed. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of upholstery tools, machines, and work areas to prevent fabric contamination. </li></ul> <p>Quality Control:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect finished products for defects and ensure all items meet quality standards. </li><li>Make necessary adjustments or repairs before products are shipped or moved to showroom or out for delivery. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Safety:</p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions or incidents. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving of furniture up to 100#'s. Regular walking, bending, twisting, climbing, carrying, pushing, pulling, crouching, and kneeling when inspecting and repairing furniture.</p> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <p>Requires punctuality and regular attendance and must be able to work one weekend day per week.</p>
