The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Head Start- Twelve (12) units of Child Development OR Early Childhood Education core units. Preschool- Six (6) units of Child Development OR Early Childhood Education core units. Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Completion of forty-eight (48) units of higher education study or obtained an AA degree or successfully passed the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam; Must have an Associate Teacher Permit or be enrolled in a program leading to an AA degree in Child Development.</p> <ul> <li>NCLB Compliance (To meet this requirement you MUST attach a copy of an AA degree (or higher), transcripts showing at least 48 units or more OR a copy of your certificate stating that you have met the NCLB requirements.Head Start- Twelve (12) units of Child Development OR Early Childhood Education core units.
