Apply online: Delaware Schools Consortium - Frontline Recruitment</p> <p>SALARY: Salary schedule can be found on the district website: https://www.christinak12.org/cms/lib/DE50000539/Centricity/Domain/130/FY2025%20Secretary%20Sal%20Table.pdf</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Two years of any combination of secretarial level work experience and/or higher education (Business School education). </li><li>Thorough knowledge of secretarial techniques, office procedures and business procedures. </li><li>Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs. </li><li>Proficiency in both written and oral English and proofreading. </li><li>Must be detailed oriented. </li><li>Knowledge of basic mathematics, data analysis and general bookkeeping methods preferred. </li><li>Experience with the Delaware First State Financials (FSF), QuickBooks, Data Service Center (DSC), and Point of Sale Systems Preferred. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district personnel, vendors and the public. </li><li>Ability to coordinate workload to meet schedules/deadlines. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to make decisions, comprehend multiple instructions, work under pressure, and exercise good judgment, discretion and confidentiality in performance of duties. </li><li>Demonstrates pleasant, cooperative attitude. </li><li>Demonstrates good attendance record and is reliable and dependable. </li><li>Must report to work on time every workday, except as afforded by existing law. </li><li>Must be able to stand and work continuously for a minimum of 4 hours per workday. </li><li>Minimum amount of weight lifting required. </li><li>Test Performance Standards: </li></ul> <p>Typing 45 wpm</p> <p>Math 62% success rate</p> <p>Proofreading 60% success rate</p> <p>Excel: 60% success rate</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Perform typing assignments, e.g., correspondence, labels, bulletins, rosters, reports, etc. </li><li>Respond to requests for information/assistance. </li><li>Support calls from parent, building staff, and community members, providing assistance when appropriate. </li><li>Maintain records, logs and files. </li><li>Manage incoming mail by sorting, prioritizing, and directing it to the appropriate individuals. </li><li>Operate appropriate office equipment and maintain inventory, ordering, and maintenance of office supplies </li><li>Assist the administrator(s) in developing and preparing information and compiling reports. </li><li>Prepare cafeteria income bank deposit and transport to bank as needed. </li><li>Assume responsibility for duties involved with staff attendance/reports, including entering attendance into Data Service Center </li><li>Develop priorities, methods and procedures for effective performance of duties and office operation. </li><li>Compile and prepare budget and payroll information, purchase orders, requisition forms and other financial reports. </li><li>Learn the point of service system (POS) used by CNS. </li><li>Process invoices for food and supplies for payment in FSF and perform random monthly pricing audits. </li><li>Assist with catering and special events by gathering supplies, placing and confirming orders, billing clients after completion of events, maintaining catering reports, and supporting supervisor with set up as needed. </li><li>Assist supervisor with hourly staff hiring by pulling applications, setting up interviews, preparing interview packets, reference checks, maintaining new hire report, and calling candidates to verify offers and start times. </li><li>Schedule appointments and keep the supervisors calendar updated. </li><li>Exercise good judgment and confidentiality in conformance with District policy. </li><li>Must be able to stand and work continuously for a minimum of 4 hours per workday. </li><li>Minimal amount of weight lifting required. </li><li>Must report to work on time every work day, except as afforded by existing law. </li><li>Must perform all duties as assigned during scheduled work day. </li><li>Perform other related tasks and assume other related responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
