<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Infrastructure Manager of the Office of State Information Management plans and directs the implementation of the state systems, networks and applications that directly support the mission of the DMA. The State IT Infrastructure Manager has direct supervision responsibilities over IT personnel managing state networks, maintaining the agency security posture and administrating the IT systems and help desk. This position demands careful planning, budgeting and operating procedures to sustain operational information systems. This position is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of systems and applications which support the DMA's IT business needs and Enterprise requirements. This position may be a primary customer interface for major IT application systems and provides communications with customers on system operations. This position provides effective and efficient application resource planning, divisional relationship management, leadership, project management and business technical solutions consulting for the DMA's IT projects. In addition, this position is responsible for short- and long-term strategic planning to sustain operational information systems. This position provides for short- and long-term technology alternatives, cost benefit analysis and business case analysis in setting direction and an actionable roadmap for applications. This position will be responsible for managing and setting technology direction for application systems which support state systems.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (70-01) with an annual salary of $133,100 - $137,200, plus excellent benefits. A 2-year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>The Department of Military Affairs does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. There may also be opportunities for out of State travel, for training and conferences for example.</p> <p>All new permanent, project, and limited term employees will be required to report to Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) in Madison on the Monday of their first week of employment for the New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. Additional information will be sent to the new employees and their supervisors on the Tuesday prior to NEO.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified candidates must have experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Leading IT infrastructure/architecture planning and implementation while applying enterprise level IT best practices. </li><li>Leading infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations. </li><li>Developing collaborative teams and directing, coaching, leading, and mentoring team members to ensure alignment with goals and performance objectives. </li></ul> <p>In addition to meeting the qualifications above, a well-qualified candidate will also have experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Budgeting and allocating resources to support the organization's mission and business priorities. </li><li>Success in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization including executive and management-level leadership. </li><li>Experience planning and leading an organization's IT transformational initiatives. </li><li>Developing agency level policies and procedures as well as internal IT documentation such as network diagrams and configuration records. </li></ul> <p>Your resume and letter of qualification are very important parts of your application.
